The ISBI Challeges will be held on the first morning of conference (2nd of May), in parallel with ISBI 2012 Tutorials.

Their organization is similar to that of previous challenges described on Grand Challenges in Medical Image Analysis. Namely, they are a combination of a contest and a workshop. The competition in which ground truth data is to be analyzed will be held during the months previous to the conference. After the publication of the evaluation ranking, teams will be invited to submit an abstract. During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to present their methods and the results will be discussed.
