Spain-based and US-based Student Travel Grants
ISBI 2012 will award a small number of awards to provide partial support for young investigators (graduate students and post-doctoral fellows of less than 3 years after graduation) who are first authors and will be presenting their work at ISBI. Due to limited funding, priority will be given to students.
These awards are dedicated to students at US institutions (covered by NIH and NSF) and to students at Spanish institutions (covered by Catalan and Spanish Governments).
Please during registration indicate if you wish to apply for an ISBI 2012 travel grant. You should have your dissertation advisor or postdoctoral supervisor as appropriate, submit a plain-text recommendation letter per the instructions given in the registration confirmation email.
The letters should mention which paper(s)/abstract(s) the young investigator will present if awarded the travel support, the applicants' educational situation (years till or since PhD), as well as the expected costs of the applicant to attend the symposium. ISBI expects to select a small number of young investigators for awards, based on the reviews of the submitted work as well as situation and need.
Priority will be given to letters that are submitted by 9 March 2012. Decisions will be announced 22 March 2012.
